Rebecca Beck (Founder, President and Resident Music Director): is the owner of Studio 48 Performing Arts Center. Rebecca graduated from Brunswick High School in 1978. She was awarded the solo singer of the year in 1976 for the entire State of Maine. She was also the first singer from Maine to attend Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony in the young vocalist program. She was the concert mistress of the Portland Jr. Symphony and Maine Allstate orchestra. She went on to Boston University, USM, New England Conservatory and private study at Juilliard School of Music to further her education in Performance. Rebecca has performed all over New England as a soloist, violinist and speaker. She was very instrumental in developing the youth theater program for the Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath, and has produced and musically directed many youth theater productions there. She has been director, producer and music director of Studio 48 PAC youth theater productions and was the music director for Mid- Coast Youth Theater Teen and family productions. She has been seen in local and National commercials as well as Independent films and has been instrumental in producing music for the Independent Film industry. She was the vocal coach for MTV’s popular show “Made” and was Miss Maine America of 1982 and went to compete for the Miss America Crown in Atlantic City, NJ. Rebecca currently founded the new youth theater program: “New England Youth Theater”, which is a non-profit organization.

Vincent Ratsavong (Resident Director/ Choreographer): is a classically trained dancer in both Cecchetti and Vaganova techniques! He has had the pleasure of dancing with Pennsylvania Ballet Company, Everett Dance Theater, Portland Ballet, Maine State Ballet, Philly Fringe, The Dance Center, Providence Rhode Island Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, and University of the Arts Philadelphia, PA where he majored in Ballet Performance and Education. Vincent has studied with some of the United States leading Instructors and Choreographers such as Martha Tornay of the East Villiage Dance Project, Kim Y. Bears-Bailey current Asst. Director of the Philadanco Dance Company, Scott Jovovich who performed as a principal dancer with Joffrey Ballet and was featured in the Tony Award winning " Jerome Robbins on Broadway" and "Fosse" on broadway, others include: Larry Keigwin, Edna Troth, Sara Sweet Rabidoux, Jane Weiner, Brenda Divelbliss, Michael Foley, Rachel Ganteaume-Richards, and Brian Sanders. Favorite Ballet roles include Russian Trepak in "Victorian Nutcracker", Blue Bird in "The Sleeping Beauty", Cowboy in "Western Symphony", Von Rothbart in "Swan Lake", Cavalier in "Symphony in C", and The Rose in "Spectre de la Rose".

     Vincent was Choreographer and Asst. Director for the Central Maine Children's Theater Project for Five years. There he helped stage junior productions of "Honk", "Once Upon a Mattress","The Music Man" and "Willy Wonka". He has also been Asst. Choreographer, Choreographer, and Asst. Director for productions with Community Little Theater, Monmouth Players, Leavitt Area High School, Edward Little High School, and New England Youth Theater. He recently Directed and Choreographed the spring performance of "High School Musical 2: On Stage". Vincent's favorite theatrical roles include: Drake in "Honk", Cogsworth in "Beauty and the Beast", Simeon in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", Russian Ballerina in "Drood", Dr.Jason Posner "Wit", Bill Sykes in "Oliver", Tiny Tom in "Urinetown:The Musical", Orin Scrivello in "Little Shop of Horrors", Ghost of Christmas Present in "A Christmas Carol:The Musical", Scarecrow in "Wizard of Oz", Lun Tha in "King and I", Prince in "Cinderella", Marcellus Washburn in "The Music Man", and Elton in "The Scarlet Pimpernel".

Chris Holmes  (Resident Assistant to the Director):  Chris is a 2008 graduate of Boothbay Region High School.  He has studied with Rebecca Beck at Studio 48 since he was in the third grade.  Some of his credits include Rudolph/Barnaby; Hello Dolly! (BRHS), Bustopher Jones; CATS (BRHS), Charlie Brown; You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (BRHS), Fruma Sarah/Inn Keeper; Fiddler on the Roof (BRHS), Ensemble; High School Musical 1: ON STAGE! (NEYT), and Mr. Fulton; High School Musical 2: ON STAGE! (NEYT).  Chris was the Stage Manager for NEYT’s first show High School Musical 1: ON STAGE!  He was also Technical Director for the Studio 48’s workshop productions of Annie JR. and High School Musical 2.  In his High School years Chris received two awards at the Maine State Drama Counsel’s Regional Drama Festivals; one for his performance as Merrill in Audience, and the other for his Set Design of Taming of the Shrew, both with Boothbay High School.  He is currently a studying Phlebotomy  and Theater at SMCC.
