To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and the extraordinary student non-profit organization 501 © New England Youth Theater whom we represent. Our names are Vincent S. Ratsavong, Dance Director, and Joseph D. Sibley Student Director and Office Manager. The purpose of this letter is to ask for your support in sponsoring our youth for the upcoming 2009-2010 season. As a non-profit organization we are hopeful that we may add you to our list of sponsors and onto our list of friends.

First, let me tell you a little bit about New England Youth Theater. Rebecca Beck, owner of Studio 48 Performing Arts Center, founded New England Youth Theater in 2008.  It is New England Youth Theater’s purpose to provide an opportunity for children all over New England, to participate in quality Musical Theater productions. Our students have been showcased in various functions and events throughout the Mid-coast area and even debuting Maine’s Premiere of High School Musical 2 On: Stage at the Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath, Maine!

New England Youth Theater is more than just a theatrical establishment. It is a place where youth can grow and develop into confident individuals. At New England Youth Theater, students gain self awareness through creativity, and train professionally so that someday they will be able to use their skills in performance and everyday life.  It is our mission to offer youth of all ages, the experience and creative process of live performance theater. We provide the youth of New England, with the wonderful opportunity to audition, and participate in a community–based quality theater production for the purpose of developing proper technique and individual creativity.

Youth of all ages and levels of learning are encouraged to participate, in all aspects of the theater. These interests range from: Set Design, Stage Management, Directing, Choreographing, Producing, Performing, Make-Up Design, Costume Design, Lights and Sound Engineering, to Ushers, Box Office Assistants, and Concession Associates. New England Youth Theater has had the privilege of working with children with autism and “high risk” behavior. We have tailored a safe environment that meets their needs from which they may learn and grow. Our professional and well educated production staff teaches necessary skills to help develop the young aspiring performers of tomorrow.

Your contribution to help New England Youth Theater will benefit the future of our students and continue our goal of engaging youth to pursue The Arts.  We thank you ahead of time for your consideration.

If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact Vincent Ratsavong at (207) 344-9482 or call New England Youth Theater at Studio 48 Performing Arts Center at (207) 798-6966 and ask for Rebecca Beck. We look forward to hearing from you!
